Wuxi Zhentai Winery Co., Ltd. is a holding enterprise of Jiangsu Taihushui Group Co., Ltd., and its predecessor is a folk manual brewing workshop, which was located at the foot of Huiquan Mount. In the early of 1950s, Wuxi Brewery was established through joint state-private ownership, and moved to extend in the present location ¡ª Wuxi Taihu National Holiday Resort in 1982. As a model factory for producing rice wine with mechanized new technology appointed by former national Ministry of Light Industry, it turned into a limited company at the beginning of 1998. Having over 200 personnel, over 40 engineering technicians and over RMB 18,000,000 yuan net assets, our company is proud of the annual production capacity of 10000 tons of "Xishan" rice wine and 5000 tons of "Zhentai" sauce, including such main products as Huiquan brand Wuxi Huiquan rice wine, Xishan brand rice wine and Zhentai brand sauce.
Wuxi, as one of birthplace of Wu and Yue culture, also has a long history of brewing wine. The famous literary works as "A Dream of Red Mansions", "Romance of the Mirrored Flowers¡±, "Three speech two striking" in period of Ming and Qing Dynasty all had the record of our company's traditional product "Wuxi Huiquan wine", which has becoming a rare thing adding to the fun for men of literature and writing of past dynasties to recite a poem and draw a picture.
Supported by former national Ministry of Light Industry, and by means of the opportunity of moving to extend in 1982, Zhentai company has taken the lead in adopting the new technology of mechanized large-capacity ferment for rice wine production in an all-round way in the whole nation instead of the indigenous method and old technology of using ceramic jar to ferment, realized the mechanized mass production with success and made contributions to the development and technical innovation of rice wine industry of our country. After practice and exploration for many years, we not only make the new ferment technology of rice wine tend to maturity, but also succeed in the big-pot mellow brewing test on the key process of mellow brewing for rice wine and have made the break-through.
For many years, by means of advanced manufacturing technique, complete quality control system and perfect product quality, "Xishan" Brand rice wine of Zhentai Company has successively won many special honors, for example, one gold medal and two silver medals of National Drinks Match in 1984, special award and first prize of First Rice Wine Festival in 1987, silver medal of Second Beijing International Expo in 1991, silver medal of Hong Kong International Food Expo in 1992, leading brand product award of national rice wine trade in 1994; in the meantime, Xishan brand series rice wine and Zhentai brand series sauce are both listed as 1998~2000' key protected products and recommended products by Wuxi Quality & Technology Supervision Bureau and Wuxi Customers Council. The five-year mellow brewing "Xishan old wine" and "Xishan purpose-made rice wine" put out in 1997 were received favourably by a great deal of customers, and respectively classified as national leading brand product and quality product in the rice wine trade quality examination and comment activity of 1998.
In July of 2000, Zhentai company took the lead in passing the ISO9002 Quality Certification in the same trade of Jiangsu province, and while making great efforts to improve product quality, had invested a large amount of fund every year to intensify the propaganda strength of product brand and expand the market popularity of Xishan brand rice wine. At home, our rice wine now has already become the preferred necessaries of life of customers in Wuxi and surrounding areas; in the international market, its export has reached more than 300 tons annually at present. The rice wine has found a good sale in such countries and areas as Japan, Australia, USA, Canada and Hong Kong, which has become the main base of exporting rice wine of Jiangsu province.
